Love & Rockets - "Sweet F.A."

C92644ey766"Sweet Fuck All" is one of the best come-down records ever and Love & Rockets best record. Drugs are bad, don't do em kids! It's a step away from their 80’s sound (which I dig too, “Earth, Sun, Moon” is a good record to pick up as well) and their answer to the 90’s alternative rock loud guitar sound, a lean toward natural tones and is heavily influenced by The Jesus & Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine and probably even Dinosaur Jr. The best part is he sings in an American accent. And, you can usually find this at most descent record stores in the used section for like $4. On the cover of this record is a burnt guitar, which was torched in a fire that burnt out the inside of Rick Rubin’s castle studio where this was recorded, destroying all the studio equipment, most of the tapes, the band’s gear and almost the band themselves. But you never hear anyone say “the fire almost got Rick Rubin too”, cuz that fatass is barely ever in the studio. Homeboy was most likely safe at home shoveling ice cream in his face at the time. Anyways, the band finished this record themselves and Rick Rubin even sued the band for something or another. Yeah, in short Rick Rubin sucks monkey dong, is a total hack job, and should stick to making rap records. But this record that has his name on it slays. The first three tracks are my favorite, and should be listened to in order with the volume really really loud. Here they are. Headphones are a good idea too.

TK...You are the man! I never could have imagined anyone championing this disc...And presenting the killer back story is a big bonus...This band was great and I saw them play after this disc was released...Amazing show in the mountains (Snow Summit) w/ Porno For Pyros, Meat Beat Manifesto & others...part of the Enit Festival...Great show great songs...Gracias on the MP3's...Keep this shit flowin' brother!

Dude...what the FUCK is Rick Ruben eating to become obese? What the FUCK can a VEGAN eat that can make them that big? Really? corn did all that?

Anyway...I love this record but Hot Trip to Heaven is my fave.

I fucking Love earth sun moon

yeah this shit is pretty good, good call

put up some tones on tail now beeeeeooootch.

sweet fa is the best record, its true, but listen to that guy. put up some tones on tail now beoooootch!!

I love it when people try to talk like a badass on the FUCKING INTERNET!!!! But you do need to put up some new songs. Somethin with a good beat.

This was my first L&R record as a kid. Got it the same day I blew my mind with Honey's Dead so it got lost. Good record though.

Sweet FA rocks. They should make a record with Jason Pierce, as it would make the sky open up and rain down fire.

I wouldn't hold my breathe. Anyhow, if Travis ain't gonna put up any new music, check out the new Okkervil River, it's on Jagjaguwar and is bomb. Kinda Neutral Milk Hotel-ish, but a little more 60's pop-ish

just a reply to the rick rubin, obese comment... it's all the processed soy! you're not suppose to eat soy that's flavored like chicken or beef or hot dogs or whatever... just eat the real thing.

fat people suck.

fat people who are picky about their food suck.

oh and and i hate people who dont eat meat.

I'M fat and i dont eat meat so fuck you in the place where the sun never shines you retard..Bill.I love tofu burgers..Sweet.

Ordered this album off Amazon 3 weeks ago... finally got it and only paid $3.00 for it, including shipping (really I only paid 99 cents).

yeah the sad thing about most love and rockets ablums (especially the vinyl) is that they are usually found in the used bins for like a dollar. i can remember finding Ball of Confusion for that much in a record store once. the bassline on Inside the Outside is catchy...
