San Diego's Beehive & The Barracudas features members of Hot Snakes and Rocket From The Crypt. Not only do they have that shit going on for them, but their singer also does jumpkicks that rival DLR's. Yep, I'm talkin' a little David Lee Roth action. Plus they don't have any songs with that disco punk beat! Catchy and even a little goffy at times, "Cuda Music" sounds like a bunch of friends telling inside jokes and getting stoned outta their heads. I know that sounds really gay but it's not. I'm sorry pals but I'm too lazy to think of a better way to say what I wanna get across to you. Anyhoo, give it a spin, I dig this vibe man. If you're from Los Angeles come see Beehive play live and in person at Fuck Yeah Fest on July 2nd but make sure to watch out for the singers jump kicks, they're deadly.

I figured I should also post up their cover of The Gun Club's "Sex Beat" which is on their album with a a bunch of dicks and Hitler on the cover. They better play this cover on July 2nd cuz The Gun Club are fucking rad or I'm flipping over their merch booth.
I love this record. Good Pick Travis.

I'm really digging this band lately, can't believe I was so ignorant of them for so long! I got introduced to them over at Rob's blog "Oh, sweet nothing" and didn't even realise that Rocket from the Crypt had so many member shares elsewhere... gotta love Rftc.
