Dan

I just heard this from somewhere else and it is really fucked up yet hilarious. I am going to hell for laughing at this shit.

Michael

This shit is disgusting. ABORT CHRIST!!!!!!

dave

wait, are these fuckers for real? this makes me vomit.

Panzram

Thank you for your submission of artist Lil' (sic) Markie. After some consideration, we've decided to pass for the following reasons:

1) He's cute -- and certainly a convincing impersonation -- but, for any artist to succeed in this business (aside from Tupac) we require the artist to be alive.

2) The chorus to this lead single is really quite similar to "Mama, I'm Comin' Home." I think Ozzy could have a case of plagiarism here.

3) HIs cadence is terrible. The kid is all over the time signature, and not in a swinging, Sinatra way. Normally, I'd suggest you give him some lessons and let his voice mature a bit before recording again, but apparently he's been tossed into a dumpster.

4) Frankly, I don't hear a single. We're 3:10 in to the song before the chorus comes in -- and only once in the whole song. Without a single, the record's an abortion.

We wish you the best in finding a home for this release. However, had his mommy not stopped a beating heart -- the beating heart of what sounds to me like someday he could be the next Elvis Presley or Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch (let's think marketing here -- Markie Mark and the Aborted Bunch perhaps?) -- this kid could've had a chance to get dicked around by us and a pretentious, spineless "big name" producer before we figuratively (that's FIGURATIVELY, not literarly) abort his career.

Sincerely,

The Music Business

I hate it when people bring political views into music. It ruins everything.

That is all I have to say about that.

susan

This has been a big hit around my office for along time. Nothing says TGIF like the sweet sounds of Li'l Markie.
Yeah Mommy.....why DID you kill me?

Dave Clifford

I couldn't agree more with Chris' comment above. I hate politics in music -- I was even hesitant to post this song because my write-up reflects my own political/social views. But, this song is truly funny and pathetic "victim rock" (sans rock), so I had to put it up here for everyone to enjoy. Music with a point of view is fine, but blatant sloganeering in music is an utter abortion.

Andrew_TSKS

normally i download everything you guys post here and make myself a mix cd of it once i've got 80 or so minutes worth. but this song is getting left off. i've heard it once, and that's more than enough. i can see why some people find it funny, but i can't even laugh at it. eeeuuugh.

by the way, ever notice how the vocals sound almost exactly like howie mandel doing his "my name is bobby" bit?

Mike

wow dave you sound as if you're talking from experience... have you had an abortion?

Shut the fuck up with your pussy, hand-wringing, emo glass wearing, Michael Moore, liberal politics.

You sound like a complete faggot.

Dudley

If you don't stop talking about these things, you will forever want to have sex in other men's bums.
