The Kinks - "20th Century Man"
Been getting a lot of emails again lately telling me I'm lazy and I need to update this page (and the gossip) a lot more. Sorry dudes but I've been busy trying to run a label. We had five records come out yesterday, one even has a drawing of a boner on it! If you like what we do here at Buddyhead, the best thing you can do to support us is to go to your local record store and buy one (or all) of them. If they don't have em in stock, tell em to order them through Red Eye. Check the label page for more info on our new releases... blah blah blah...
So anyways, back to me... I've been on a "Muswell Hillbillies" kick lately. I don't have much to say about this jam aside from this later-era Kinks record has been on my stereo at least twice a day the past few weeks. I can't get enough of the first song, "20th Century Man". Ray is kickin' ass on this one with his lyrics! Fuck man, I don't wanna be here either!

EGGSALAD choice.

Yes sure it takes long to download but it is so worth it !
The album is certainly as incredibly good as Everybody's In The Showbiz is awesome or Village Green second to none.
Perfect pop, perfect folk, a touch of brass band here, a glimpse of banjo there : when you touch these albums they're with you for the week, you sing them in the subway, you shout them in the bathroom, they're still in your head when you fall asleep...

The reviews aren't coming back, sorry. We got tried of writing the same review over and over (how many ways can you say a band sucks?), so now we just do the best and worst list every year... those are our reviews. As for the coffee table book... that's not happening anytime soon.

Muswell Hilbillies is a super, all-time jam. My favorite Kinks record.
