If you missed what we thought was the best of 2006, head on over to the gossip page. Sorry we've been lagging on updating this page but like Dr. Hook says... life ain't easy. Whoever said it should be?
If you missed my other post a while ago about the Dr. Hook live dvd, click here. Shit fuckin' kills.

Wow, very bizarre to learn that Shel Silverstein would be behind the music of Dr. Hook. I was wary to click any links as I've been fooled before....ie Best of...Trust ~ain't easy.

i've been slightly hesitant to voice my opinions concerning this years "top 10" simply because i wasn't especially impressed by anything that i heard. i did once this year and my friend jumped all over me and told me his opinion was better than mine because he listened to more new music. i guess my point is that i'm glad someone else was as bored as i was with the music put out this year. the new tv on the radio record was but the only shining light in music this year, in my opinion. nothing else tickled my fancy.
the upside to all of this was that i spent more time researching older bands and became more familiar with howlin wolf, iggy pop's post stooges material, and many other 60's garage rock bands. i also realized mick taylor is one of my favorite guitar players.

also where were:
Eagles Of Death Metal - Death By Sexy
Bob Dylan - Modern Times
Tool - 10,000 Days
????
I think I maybe saw Dylan on one list? the others weren't even mentioned. Andrew Douglas Rothbard and Howlin' Rain were two of my personal faves.
