You might wanna check out this new video from everyone's favorite divorced sibling rock duo... The White Stripes. The clip was co-directed by Jack White and the Malloy Brothers, I didn't know who the bros were so I googled em and it said they've directed (the amazingly bad) Metallica's - St. Anger music video, the goofy Kid Rock - "Cold and Empty" music video, The Shins - New Slang music video and are currently working on a movie titled "8 Track" which was written by Zach Braff (who just so happens to be the reason The Shins have some cash in their pockets now).
The video is for their new single "Icky Thump" which is way better than ANY of that crap on that last turd record "Get Behind Me Satan". The only negative things I have to say about this new jam is the keyboard solo sounds like a shitty bagpipe (NO GOOD) and John Gillis is kinda rapping ala The Beastie Boys (NO GOOD AGAIN). But both of those things are growing on me a little with each listen. At least homeboy finally got wise and put down that goddamn marimba, picked up his axe and wrote some heavy riffs again. Good call Jack, I hated your shitty marimba and that dumb doorbell song man. Sorry, I'm just being honest. Don't do that to us again, k?
Anyhoo, the video is cool as shit. Meg looks killer with brown hair. Oh and Jack & Meg finally gave in and got a myspace page. Yo Jack, get crackin' on writing a new Raconteurs record.
Enjoy.

If you're looking for a music website that's updates alot and always has killer jams on it, bookmark http://www.aquariumdrunkard.com/. I hadn't been over there for a while so I played some catch up on that site today and really was blown away by this Terry Callier album cover. It was the reason I listened to the song, which is killer too in case you were wondering. If you know of cool sites I should be linking, have song/video recommendations or naked photos of yourself email them to me. Only females need apply to that last one, male with nude photos can send yours to aaron@buddyhead.com.
Here's the first look at the new Anton Corjbin movie about Joy Division that's coming out called "Control". Looks pretty killer.

Yeah yeah, I know... way too much Queen of the Stone Age shit on here lately. Someone even nailed me on it here in the comments of the last QOTSA post... But, in my defense... I'm a really lazy person plus i've been really busy lately doing really cool shit (can you say BIG SUR?) and let's face it chumps... Bulby fucking rules man. "Shut up, grow up & turn it up!" I haven't even heard the album so I can't tell you much about it, but what I can tell you is I'm ready to party with this dude Bulby. The guy wins. "Count me in!"
Nope it's not a George Harrison cover, it's the first new song from The Jesus & Mary Chain in nine years and it's really fuckin good. Get in the studio and record this shit dudes! They played this jam when I saw them at The Glasshouse as well as at Coachella (the mp3 below is from The Glasshouse show). And then they recently played it again for their third appearance on the David Letterman show last Monday (scope the video below) with William sporting a "Scotland" soccer jersey (probably because David Letterman introduced them as an English band first time). Either way, I'm excited that these guys are back and can't wait for their record that I heard they're gonna start recording next year... should be tits!

By the way, I'm moving to Big Sur, Chris Robinson doesn't know what a riff is & The Duke Spirit have the coolest website around..
Here's a little song called "Sick, Sick, Sick" that just so happens to be the first single from the new Queens of the Stone Age record that they're calling "Era Vulgaris". I dunno what "Era Vulgaris" means, but it makes me think of Vagina... which is always a plus. Yes, I am 12. The video features their new bass shredder "Mikey Shoes" from Wires On Fire as well as enough gross shit to make you not wanna eat for the rest of the day. After I saw it the video this morning all I've been able to get down is a couple gallons of French-press coffee and a POM Blackberry Tea. The POM tea is not only a killer drink but you get to keep the glass, which rules for loser bachelors like me. Anyways, back to Queens... what do you guys think of this new song and video? Post your comments, let's hear your reviews!

On a totally unrelated note, this weekend I'm road tripping it up to Big Sur with my friend Sam to see the singer of The Black Crowes, Chris Robinson, perform at The Fernwood with Entrance (click here for the flier), hang out in the woods, go inner tubing and discover our inner-hippies. Anyone else going and getting as weird as we are this weekend? Or do you know of sights we need to make sure and check out while we're up there? Expect to see rad photos of hippies letting their freak flags fly on my Flickr account early next week! You can't stop this party. It can't be done!
Uncle Scott passed this video on to me cuz he's stoked on early Metallica. What's better than early Metallica? Early Metallica with Danzig doing Misfits songs. You can't stop that party!
Yeah it's been a while since I put anything up here... been busy doing cool shit. Sue me. Check out this video of a pig thinking he's dead after eating pot brownies. It's gotta make you smile. Made me smile.
Here are three videos I found of the small show Queens did at 100 Club in London with Mike from Wire On Fire on bass. Not the best sound of quality but hey man... that's youtube for you.

BRMC will be playing the Wiltern here in Los Angeles next week on May 8th... I can't wait. Check out this sneak peak thing their label made of them playing a few songs in what looks like a rehearsal room and the video for "Weapon Of Choice".

I'm not sure that this....
...is the same dude that sang for this band.
I'm sold on the conspiracy theory that aliens came down from above and stole the real Chris Cornell a while ago. They've left us with this look-a-like poser dude who shops at The Gap, can't sing as well and has the jivest band on earth (featuring members of Buckcherry and Jewel) for his "solo band". Someone needs to call up Ben Shepard and Kim Thayil and tell them how bad this pussy is blowing. Maybe they can stage an intervention with him.
Just in case you thought otherwise, here's the video to prove my case.
