You should already know that Hot Snakes rule! And yeah you guessed it, these BBC Peel sessions are no exception. Four songs that were recorded live on Oct. 11 2004 and sadly enough were the last session before John Peel's death. They do "Automatic Midnight", "No Hands", "Braintrust", & "This Mystic Decade". This cd gives me a boner. You can buy it online @ Merch Lackey and pop a boner yourself!
YEAH CUT EM OFF ME!
FUCK YES!

these dudes do give 80% of their royalties to the Kurt Cobain foundation, right?!

How much money has the Kurt Cobain foundation given to Greg Sage lately? Nirvana and Hot Snakes definitely owe a nod to the wipers. Regardless, anything that John Reese and Rick Froberg has done (Pitchfork, Drive Like Jehu) is pure genius.

I totally picked this up on 7 inch vinyl while these bastitches were on their last tour. Their bass cat stamped it with some wicked big ass stamp for their tracklist. This band is so cold as ice.

Dude are you kidding mee this band slays just about any band on the planet and they are really not even playing to their abilities , am i right?

Umm...cold as ice means good. We all clear on that? I repeat the phrase "cold as ice" has a positive connotation. Fuck ability. Pun intended.

I wouldn't really say that the hot snakes owe anything to Nirvana. Their styles are completely different, plus John and Rick's first band, Pitchfork, sounded pretty much like the Hot Snakes do now back before Nirvana even released Nevermind or In Utero (and there's no similarities between this and Bleach whatsoever). BAH fuck it, it's just rock n' roll... right?

michael, dude, you are so fucking right. We all know by now that everyone snatches a thing or two from someone else. So fuck it. Its just rock and roll.

DVJ is soooooooooo much better than Nirvana, like nirvana to, but drive like jehu... same goes for hot snakes
and every band is influenced by someone one way or the other. How many bands aren't influenced by fugazi, nirvana, drive like jehu and so on?
gonna see them live 10th of may :D :D

When I first heard this I thought it was a Wipers song. So these guys definately owe something to Greg Sage but I don't think Rick and John have ever denied that. And hell Nirvana covered two of the Wipers' songs.
