According to his website, it looks like Dicky Ashcoft finally stopped listening to his massive ego, pulled his weird looking head out of his ass and dialed up Nick McCabe and said "let's get the band back together mate!" Fucking finally dude... music is power Dicky and the best music you made is BY FAR with The Verve! This means two things that are both music to my ears. First... NO MORE ADULT CONTEMPORARY SOLO ASHCROFT RECORDS! WOO! Secondly... THE VERVE ARE MAKING A NEW RECORD AND ARE GONNA PLAY SHOWS! SHIT YEAH! Yep, the original line-up (Richard Ashcroft, Nick McCabe, Simon Jones and Pete Sailsbury) were back together (first time since they broke up in 1999) recording in a London studio last week. After a summer break, they will return to the studio to complete their next album and then in November they'll be playing some live shows in the UK. Who's flying me over for that? Any takers? Anyone? Here's the deal... you fly me over for the shows and I'll buy beers for us at the shows as well as the tickets to the shows which go on sale on my big 3 0 birthday July 6th. See, it's fuckin' meant to be.
